Terms of Use

Effective date: July 27, 2026 · Applies to the Our Story iOS app

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and OctoPanther LLC ("we," "us"), a North Dakota limited liability company. By downloading or using the Our Story app (the "App"), you agree to these Terms.

What the App is

The App is a private, shared timeline where two people record memories of their relationship — text, dates, photos, and places — synced between their devices. Core features are free; an optional Our Story Pro upgrade unlocks extras.

Accounts

The App creates an anonymous account when you first use it. Some features (inviting a partner, or editing a story you were invited to) require signing in with Apple. You are responsible for the security of your Apple ID. You can delete your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your content

• You own the memories, photos, and text you add. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content solely to operate the App — syncing it between your story's members and backing it up.
• Everything in a story is visible and editable by both of its members. Add content you're comfortable sharing with your partner.
• Only upload photos and content you have the right to use. Don't use the App to store unlawful content.

Our Story Pro

• Pro is available as an auto-renewable monthly subscription (with a free trial where offered) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current pricing is shown in the App before you buy.
• One purchase unlocks Pro for both members of a story.
• Subscription payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of a free trial if not cancelled. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to access other users' stories, interfere with the service, or reverse engineer the App except as permitted by law. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the service.

Service availability

The App depends on network connectivity and third-party infrastructure for sync and backups. We work to keep the service reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.

Our content

The App's design, code, and branding belong to OctoPanther LLC. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OctoPanther LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Apple's standard EULA

To the extent not covered by these Terms, your use of the App is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
